Fire Safety Training
Fire Safety Awareness Training
Fire Safety measures are essential in the workplace and at home. The vast majority of fires occur not in the workplace, but at home. The reason for this – in the workplace legislation is very strict on fire safety – mandatory evacuation drills, staff training and emergency plans are a requirement for every business.
Our fire safety awareness course can be delivered on-site or in a local classroom setting, in a blended learning format with e-learning and practical assessment to follow, or delivered by one of our tutors through a video conference TEAMS meeting, which includes a remote practical extinguisher-use assessment for immediate certification.
Trainees who complete the e-learning course without practical extinguisher assessment are awarded a Fire Safety Awareness Certificate.
EasyLearning fire safety training course content includes:
Fire Prevention, Legislation, Emergency Evacuation Plans, Fire Protection, Detection & Warning Systems.
For full certification including extinguisher use, a practical assessment is required.
Fire Risk Assessment
A fire risk assessment is crucial for maintaining safety in your place of work. It involves identifying potential fire hazards, assessing the level of risk, and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks. By conducting a thorough assessment, employers can pinpoint vulnerabilities, such as sources of ignition or flammable materials, and take corrective actions.
In addition to assessing fire risks, preparing an escape plan is essential. This plan should outline clear and accessible escape routes for everyone on the premises. Consider factors such as the number of floors and possible obstacles. Regularly reviewing and practicing this escape plan ensures that everyone knows what to do in case of a fire. At least two emergency evacuation drills must be carried out by businesses in Ireland every year.
